The Adelaide University Law Students’ Association (AULSA) is here to help you transition into law school and get the most out of your university experience. As a student enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws at Adelaide University, you are automatically a member of the AULSA and can attend and participate in all AULSA events and initiatives.
For some students, starting law school can be an exciting time, and for others it can be a time of uncertainty. We know, because we’ve been in your shoes. Wherever you are in your academic journey, our Education Portfolio delivers a range of events dedicated to assisting you and to ensure you succeed in your first year at university. LK First Year Guide
Our First Year Guide, sponsored by LK, is your ultimate handbook for navigating your first year at law school. It contains information about what you can expect during your first year of academic studies. We’ve also included tips, tricks and recommendations to make the most out of your university experience.
College of Law First Year Mentorship Program
Our award winning mentorship program has helped hundreds of first year law students transition into their first year of law school. Our team will pair you with a law student in their third year or above, and you can meet regularly throughout the year to seek guidance, support and tips to help you succeed.
Meet Your Mentor Event
When you sign up to our College of Law First Year Mentorship Program, you are automatically invited to attend our Meet Your Mentor event. This event is an opportunity for you to meet your mentor and other first year students in a relaxed and safe environment. You will also meet members of the AULSA Education Portfolio and wider Committee.

First Year Representatives Elections
Each year the AULSA welcomes two first year law students to join the AULSA Committee to act as First Year Representatives and be the voice of their cohort.
This year, 16 candidates have nominated for these two positions. We encourage you to meet your candidates and vote for them in the upcoming First Year Representative elections.
