2026 Uniform Clerkship Scheme
The Uniform Clerkship Scheme is an initiative coordinated by the Adelaide University Law Students’ Association and the Flinders Law Students’ Association.
Participating organisations align the dates of their clerkship programs to provide law students with certainty of application, interview and offer dates.
2026 SCHEME DATES
Applications open: Monday 22 June 2026
Applications close: Friday 17 July 2026
Interviews commence: Monday 27 July 2026

-
Each year law firms and government departments who offer paid clerkship positions are invited to participate in the uniform clerkship scheme.
Organisations who choose to participate align their clerkship program dates according to the scheme but retain control of their application process, including the structure and format of applications and interviews.
-
The uniform clerkship scheme is run annually during the mid-year break for the mutual benefit of South Australian law students and organisations who offer paid clerkship programs.
By aligning their clerkship program dates, law firms and government departments have direct access to a large pool of applicants from both South Australian law schools.
Students benefit from the scheme by spending less time navigating application dates and instead being able to focus their time on preparing quality applications.
-
Penultimate and final year law students applying for clerkships at participating organisations are required to submit individual applications via the process listed on the organisation’s website.
Students are encouraged to visit the websites of participating organisations for information about their clerkship program and recruitment process.
